SCREENWRITING

Shelly worked as a screenwriter in Los Angeles for nearly 10 years, optioning comedy and romantic comedy scripts to independent producers and studios including Michael Alden, Leanna Creel and Fox Television Studios.  She wrote, produced and directed the short film The Perfect Husband in 2005 that was featured in multiple short film contests.  Her spec projects finished in the top 10 percent of the prestigious Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting twice.  While none of her projects were eventually produced, she is currently working on the novelization of 2 scripts.
